Here’s a classic, UNCENSORED live set from Live at Southbound Tracks, with more of that classic hip hop, pop, rock, metal, house, indie dance and soundtracks. Mixed live in Traktor and streamed to Twitch February 13th, 2021.
This is the fourth Live at Southbound Tracks. The songs are great, even if you can’t always hear them. I get to play some music by a few friends at @CentraliaRecords : Mocata and Xenward, whom I’ve known since the San Marcos days. Horns way up, gentlemen. The more I listen to these, the more I remember the setup. I’m fairly certain that everything from Traktor is feeding into the SP-404SX, which may explain the noise issue during some portions of this set. You’ll know the noise. I couldn’t hear a thing because I wasn’t running the SP’s signal through Traktor, where I was monitoring. I found out later.
Every so often, you’ll hear what is likely beats from a live drum machine, way too loud and distorted. I’m pretty sure that’s a Pocket Operator, manually set to the same tempo as the currently playing song. It sounds trrible, but as Jack Burton says, “You never know til you try.”
