Here’s a classic, UNCENSORED live set from Live At Southbound Tracks, featuring a block of old school hip-hop, a whole bunch of good time pop and rock tunes, and a soundtracks mix to die for. Mixed live in Traktor and streamed to Twitch January 23rd, 2021.

This was my first Twitch DJ set. It’s rough in spots, but it eventually got me a lot of live DJ work. Ignore the blurry crawl and squatty aspect ratio. Actually, that’s not an effect. I really am that short.

This set represents my favorite way to work. I start with hip-hop for about an hour, then do pop and dance tunes for a while, then rock and metal, then movie scores. That’s why you hear Kool Moe Dee, Lard, and James Horner in the same set. I like to play sets like these, because they’re more like my old radio show. I tend to stick to hits and clean versions when I play live, but I always keep a bunch of movie soundtracks on hand, just in case I get to play a comicon some day. Texas has a few, so you never know.
