00:00:00 – Soundtrack block. As always, I’m mixing off-camera to warm-up. Highly recommended.

1:01:27 – I’m not the biggest Jay-Z guy, but sampling The Doors on “The Takeover” was a good move. The rest of the hip-hop set is solid. My heart will always be in old school 80s rap, but the genre was unstoppable by the 90s and 2000s. You’ll hear all three decades here. Wu-Tang, ODB, EPMD, one of RUN-DMC’s hardest tracks (with a bit of Sam Kinison’s input), and tons more.

2:07:22 – This is one of my favorite sets, specifically for all those great old disco, freestyle, techno and house tracks. There’s something truly enticing about that stuff. Lots of great freestyle and new wave here, too. Newer dance music sounds better, but I prefer the hooks, melodies and arrangements of the classics.

3:49:20 – I love this “Just One Fix” remix, especially all the Burroughs stuff. The cut-up method he borrowed from his friend Brion Gysin is an overlooked contribution when it comes to music. You hear about it a lot in literature, but would we have any remixes at all without those lunatics breaking the rules of writing?

4:16 – My favorite Overkill song, “Mean Green Killing Machine.” It’s a later track, but it’s pretty much perfect.

4:25:28 – Sorry I didn’t have the Danzig Shopping List samples ready. Just enjoy the song, alright?

4:29:47 – My brother Eric’s favorite Deep Purple song.

5:19:39 – My Kevin Von Erich impression.

5:45 – I love AC/DC, but this tune will likely be muted due to copyright. One AC/DC song got my entire last video blocked. Hope it’s temporary. An automatic mute would have sufficed, but fuck YouTube.

6:03 – “Last song of the night,” “Sex Bunnies On Wheels,” from the movie DEADBEAT AT DAWN! Dance, Baldy, dance!

6:27:20 – Another soundtrack block. Sometimes I’ll bookend a set with two soundtrack blocks. And hell yeah, that’s from Wild Style, ripped from vinyl.
